Journey of Adam Wilson

He followed the expected path at first.
School.
A stable direction.
Clear next steps.
It wasn’t something he questioned early on.
It made sense.
And for a while, it worked.
But the longer he stayed on that path,
the more it started to feel like he was moving forward without choosing it.
He began noticing the gap between:
What he was doing
and
what he actually wanted to be doing.
It wasn’t dramatic.
No sudden realization.
Just a steady discomfort that grew over time.
He tried to adjust within the path he was on.
Small changes.
Different approaches.
It didn’t fix the underlying issue.
Eventually, he reached a point where continuing felt heavier than changing direction.
So he made the shift.
Not because he was fully confident.
But because staying no longer made sense.
The new path wasn’t clear.
There were no guarantees.
No defined outcome.
Just uncertainty.
And responsibility.
The early phase was difficult.
Not because of failure,
but because of lack of clarity.
It takes time to build direction when there isn’t one given to you.
There were moments where the previous path looked easier.
More structured.
More secure.
But going back meant ignoring what he already knew.
So he stayed with it.
Over time, things became more defined.
Not perfect.
But clearer.
The work started to align with his decisions.
And that made the difference.
